Meet the team

Leonard Shavel

Leonard is the Founder and President of LifeLine Technologies. He brings more than 40 years of experience in finance, investing, and asset-based businesses. He spent 23 years at Babcock & Brown, led the North American freight car leasing business, and spun it out with Rich Umbrecht to form New Province Partners in 2010. His background includes financing and owning equipment-centered infrastructure businesses across satellites, cellular networks, air traffic control, and railroad signaling.

Richard Umbrecht

Richard is LifeLine Technologies' legal, financial, and transaction structuring expert. He brings more than 40 years of experience in asset-based and international finance across law, leasing, project finance, cross-border transactions, and tax planning. He is a co-founder and partner at New Province Partners, previously served as Co-Head of Global Structured Finance and Head of U.S. Corporate Finance at Babcock & Brown, and was a tax partner at Morgan Lewis.

Kirin Hutheesing

Kirin supports LifeLine Technologies' daily operations and commercial development. His work includes product direction, partner evaluation, proposal development, research, and coordination across commercial applications for perception systems. He brings a mechanical engineering background with experience in business analytics, operations, technology-focused research, and process improvement, including work on emergency department transport throughput and emerging VR/AR education applications. His focus is turning operational problems into deployable sensing workflows while keeping deployment requirements clear and actionable.

Chris Gulick

Chris leads growth, strategic partnerships, and new business opportunities for LifeLine Technologies. He brings more than 12 years of experience in business development, sales operations, and relationship management across energy generation, clinical research, and infrastructure-oriented markets. His work focuses on identifying organizations with practical needs for perception systems, building long-term client relationships, and translating technical requirements into deployable solutions. Before LifeLine, he held business development leadership roles focused on key accounts and scaling commercial operations.

Patrick serves as President of Blickfeld North America, leading commercial growth, strategic partnerships, and market expansion across the United States and Canada. His work focuses on industrial LiDAR deployment strategy, enterprise customer development, channel partnerships, and advanced sensing applications across infrastructure, logistics, automation, security, and volumetric measurement. He brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across robotics, autonomous systems, manufacturing technology, and industrial innovation, with a track record of scaling emerging technologies into operational solutions.

Aaron Foster

Aaron serves as Lead Technical Sales Manager for North America at Blickfeld, supporting customer engagement and deployment strategy across industrial LiDAR and perception system applications. His work includes solution evaluation, technical consultation, deployment coordination, and operational integration for advanced sensing environments. He brings experience across emerging technology and industrial applications, with a focus on translating complex operational requirements into practical, deployment-ready workflows for commercial and industrial customers during early scoping, implementation planning, and handoff.
